- A project is not necessarily the same thing as a task list
- Identify the scope of the project
- Understand where the bottlenecks are
- GANTT Charts tell you contingencies
- GANTT Charts get you to think of the a project not as a task list, but as a bunch of interconnected aspects
- Be clear on who your project sponsor is. This is the person who is ultimately responsible and can make big decisions
- Do a post mortem
- It lets you know who at your org is a real star
